EAGLEBANK BOWL RENEWS PARTNERSHIP WITH MARRIOTT & RENAISSANCE HOTELS OF WASHINGTON, DC

Washington, D.C. – The EagleBank Bowl announced today it has renewed its partnership agreement with Marriott and designated JW Marriott & Renaissance Hotels of Washington, DC, the “Official Hotels” for the 2009 EagleBank Bowl.

“We are pleased to have Marriott Hotels return as a partner for the EagleBank Bowl,” said Steve Beck, Executive Director of the EagleBank Bowl. “Through this agreement, we were able to negotiate favorable hotel rates for fans attending the game. In addition, our hospitality efforts and game operations during Bowl week are centralized.”

As part of the partnership agreement, the participating teams, league officials, staff, sponsors and special guests will be housed at Marriott properties with the JW Marriott Hotel Washington, DC serving as the Bowl’s headquarters hotel during Bowl week. The Mayflower, A Renaissance Hotel and Renaissance Washington, DC Hotel will once again serve as team hotels. At these Marriott properties, the EagleBank Bowl will host the official Welcome Receptions for each participating team and the 2009 EagleBank Bowl Teams Luncheon.

The EagleBank Bowl and Marriott Hotels are offering special discount rates for visitors, alumni and fans attending the Bowl game. EagleBank Bowl room rates on a select number of rooms have been secured at the Renaissance Washington, DC and The Mayflower, A Renaissance Hotel at $99 per night and at the JW Marriott Hotel Washington, DC at $129 per night. This year’s EagleBank Bowl is set for Tuesday, December 29 at 4:30 p.m. at RFK Stadium. The game will match Army against a team from the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). If Army is not bowl-eligible, a team from Conference USA will be selected as the ACC opponent.
