DC ROLLERGIRLS ENTER SECOND HALF OF SEASON
DC DemonCats and Cherry Blossom Bombshells meet for second time this season on February 21 at the DC Armory
WASHINGTON, DC — Valentine’s Day will be a memory but the DC Rollergirls will hit the track and show their never-ending love for hard hits and fast whips as the season’s fourth bout takes place at the DC Armory. Doors open at 4 pm and the action begins at 5 pm.
The DC DemonCats and the Cherry Blossom Bombshells are the night’s featured bout. Earlier this season, the Bombshells led by captain Kimono Dragon and jammers Goldrush and Battery Operated defeated the DemonCats, 96-59. In the expo match, Scare Force One faces off with the Queen City Roller Girls from Buffalo, NY.
Currently, all three teams are knotted at 1-1 heading into the second half of the season. Following the bout on February 21, remaining bouts are March 14 and April 18. The league championship is set for May 9.
Tickets are $12 for ages 12 and up, $6 for children 6-11 and free for kids 5 and under. Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.com or at the door on bout day.
The DC Armory is easily accessible by the Metro on the Blue and Orange lines (Stadium-Armory station) and numerous bus lines. Secured parking is also available.
